Konference mellem medlemsstater-nes regeringer om udnævnelse af slovensk dommer ved De Europæiske Fællesskabers Ret i Første Instans.

I tilknytning til mødet i Coreper II, den 23. juni 2004 afholdt formandskabet en konference for repræsentanterne for medlemsstaternes regeringer med henblik på udnævnelse af en slovensk dommer ved De Europæiske Fællesskabers Ret i Første Instans for perioden frem til 31. august 2007.

Den slovenske regering havde indstillet Verica Trstenjak til udnævnelse som dommer (CV vedlægges). Udnævnelsen af den slovenske dommer kommer senere end de øvrige nye EU- medlemsstaters udnævnelser. Baggrunden herfor er, at en vraget slovensk kandidat har søgt Rådets opbakning til en fornyet prøvelse af hans ansøgning. Rådet har afvist dette.

Indstillingen fra den slovenske regering blev tiltrådt af konferencen mellem medlemsstaternes regeringer.
